Accessibility For Ontarians With Disabilities Act (AODA)
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) established a framework for creating a more accessible Ontario. Under this legislation, Ontario introduced the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service (The Standard), the first standard developed to ensure businesses and organizations provide accessible goods and services to people with disabilities.
Creative Arts Financial is committed to providing services in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities. You can find Creative Arts Financial’s Policies & Procedures for AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities) by clicking the link below.
Website accessibility
Our website has been developed following the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines help developers create websites that are accessible to all users. Some ways we ensure accessibility include:
- Customizable display: Webpages are built so you can disable CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) or adjust text size via your browser if colours or fonts make content difficult to read.
- Skip to content links: Each page includes a link at the top to jump directly to the main content, bypassing headers and navigation.
- Screen reader support: Webpages are designed to work effectively with screen-reading software. Images have text descriptions, links include clear titles, and structured headings allow users to navigate quickly to desired sections.
Online accessibility tips
Adjust your computer settings for a better experience
Enhance your online experience by customizing your computer settings to suit your needs. For example, you can increase font sizes or adjust the colour scheme.
Keep your browser updated
We recommend you keep your browsers up-to-date. Newer browsers tend to provide more display options to make content accessible, and may work better with assistive technologies.
Use keyboard shortcuts
Many accessibility features can be controlled directly from your keyboard. Try using shortcut keys to navigate pages, zoom in, or adjust text size without a mouse.
Use screen reader software
Our website is designed to work with common screen readers, which read content aloud and provide keyboard navigation.
Explore accessibility tools
Most operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) include built-in accessibility features like magnifiers, voice control, and text-to-speech.
